ACT Construction were delighted to welcome a special guest of honour to the Scottish Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) Dinner recently.

Champion swimmer Ross Murdoch took his place at the ACT table at the annual Glasgow dinner, which is regarded as a premier event on Scotland’s construction calendar. This year the dinner was held at Hilton DoubleTree Hotel.

Ross is pictured with Anna Smrckova, ACT Business Development and Client Manager and Gillian McCarron, Office Manager.

ACT Managing Director Ken Godsman said: “We have supported the annual dinner for many years and we see it as a great opportunity to meet up with friends, to network and to support the valuable work of the CIOB.

“It was an especially enjoyable event this year because we were fortunate to have Ross as our guest. As one of the world’s best swimmers, he is a Scottish athlete that is a great ambassador for our country and guests enjoyed hearing of his life and experiences as an elite athlete. ”

Ross Murdoch specialises in breaststroke and is currently a World Championship medallist, European and Commonwealth Games 200m Breaststroke champion and the holder of a Commonwealth Record.

Ross competed in the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games for Team GB in the 100m Breaststroke.
