ACT to attend annual IOR dinner

Staff and guests at ACT Construction (UK) Ltd are looking forward to attending this year’s Institute of Refrigeration Dinner, hosted by the Scottish branch.

The event is held in Glasgow this week and ACT has the pleasure of inviting two of the company’s sponsored athletes, top Scottish hockey player Kaz Cuthbert and champion swimmer Ross Murdoch.

The host will be Michelle McManus and the after-dinner speaker is comedian and television/radio presenter Grant Stott.

Two accolades, the Kooltech Award and Apprentice of the Year, will be presented by the Scottish Branch at the Annual Dinner.

Ken Godsman, managing director of ACT, said: “We have been attending the Institute of Refrigeration (Scottish Branch) dinner for more than 20 years and I think it is important to support this annual industry event.

“It is an informal and relaxed way to entertain clients and network with fellow professionals.

“This year we are delighted that two of our sponsored athletes, Kaz and Ross, will be in attendance.”

The Institute of Refrigeration is an independent charity that is run for public benefit. It has a membership of almost 2000 individuals, whose work depends on refrigeration.

Refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pumps play a vital part in the lives of everyone in the modern world and the institute provides a central resource for people from all over the world to improve the application of refrigeration and allied fields for the general good of society.
