ACT sponsored hockey players Kaz Cuthbert and Robyn Collins are enjoying a great season so far.

Robyn in action.

Robyn and her club team, Surbiton Hockey Club Ladies, are sitting top of their league in England. They ended the first half of their season on a win with Robyn scoring two goals against the University of Birmingham.

Robyn said: “It was great to finish on a win and go into the winter break top of the table. It’s always nice to score a goal but the main thing was to get the win and get back to top of the table.”

Meanwhile, Kaz and her team, the Western Wildcats, are sitting in a strong fourth position in the Women’s National League Division 1.

Kaz enjoys a fun moment off the field.

Kaz said: “We had a very good start to the season, most notably putting Clydesdale Western out of the Scottish Cup. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to take points from the top three sides in the league games but we have beaten everyone else to firmly sit in the top four.

“The aim after Christmas is to better this and to start taking points from the top teams. We want to continue to build on our confidence heading into the European playoffs at the end of the season.

“We have a young fresh squad who are eager to learn and progress in this league so it is a really exciting time ahead for the Cats.”

We are looking forward to keeping track of Kaz and Robyn in 2018.
